Project Management
Effective project management ensures all the projects: are delivered on time and
on budget, meet all service level commitments, and keep your offshore team motivated
and focused on high quality products and successful delivery.
Customer requirements and customer satisfaction are always the first priority in
Nova.
We manage our projects by:
Project Plan tracking and control
- Project managers collect the project status data from team members' daily work reports
and regular project meetings. And keep the customers updated by frequent communication
between two sides.
- The project progress will be monitored by periodical tracking of the project plan.
- The potential risks will be tracked, so that most of them can be prevented from
happening. Even if some avoidless risks emerge, the effect will be reduced to the
lowest level.
- If a deviation from the plan is found, the team will take necessary actions to rectify
it.
Regular project meeting
To prevent and control the project risks, discuss and solve the problems, share
the information and experience, and notify the team members the latest status of
the project, we hold internal regular meetings between every project leader on weekly
basis. The agenda includes current status of the project, potential problems, experience
to be shared etc.
Besides, our account managers hold regular project meetings (usually on weekly basis)
with clients to synchronize our views on projects, share information, discuss open
issues, and solve problems.
Project/Work Report to senior management team in NOVA and the customer
- Members' daily work report to their project manager.
- Weekly project's report is made to keep the customer and senior manager informed
about project latest status, potential risks etc.
Project Inspection Team
Led by our deputy manager, this team is intended to enhance the management skills
and coordination ability of each project team; meanwhile consummate and optimize
the criteria for project management. The work content of this team is to inspect
and supervise how the project teams implement the criteria, find the deficiency
and make adjustment accordingly so as to increase the possibilities of project success.
