Chongqing Becomes “The Base City of Service Outsourcing in China”

It was said yesterday on the news conference for the 2008 Economic & Trade Convention in regard to multinational companies’ investment in Chongqing that the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China will confer an honorary title on Chongqing in the coming convention - the Base City of Service Outsourcing in China.

Approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, as well as Ministry of Science and Technology of PRC, Chongqing will be granted the honorary title - “the Base City of Service Outsourcing in China”, together with the existing base cities such as Chengdu, Xi’an, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Dalian, etc.

At present, the development of software outsourcing service in CQ is strongly supported by the CQ government. We aim at being the first-class base city of outsourcing service in China. It is estimated that until 2015, the number of personnel engaged in software development industry in CQ will exceed 200,000, and the sales production value will exceed 100,000,000,000RMB, in which 50,000,000,000RMB will come from global software outsourcing service and 50,000,000,000RMB will come from local and national demand of software.
